Join KidSafe as we take you on a journey of personal safety.
Through humor and dedication to the safety of children we will teach you skills to help you feel more comfortable and confident in your approach to communicating and teaching your children
real world personal safety skills. Parents will gain a better understanding of who the predators are, why we don’t use the term "stranger", and concrete safety rules to teach your children at home.

In the 8 week program children will learn personal safety skills through developmentally appropriate song, movement, discussion and role playing. Our KidSafe program is a team approach with the parents and teachers reinforcing the safety skills and safety language at home and in the classroom.

Parent Seminar
Internet Safety 101 – The Good, The Bad and how to help you and your teen make sense of it!
Open parent discussion covering the issues of predators on line, realistic risk factors regarding becoming part of online communities, how and what to teach your teens about personal information: how much is too much, online communication with your teen, and the benefits.
Parenting Your Teen in the 21st Century
6 week course for parents of children ages 11-17. This course is designed for all parents of teenagers, for those aiming to make these years go as smoothly as possible, as well as parents needing to reconnect and help get kids back on a healthier path. The course features:
  • methods to gain cooperation
  • open lines of communication
  • proactive discipline methods
  • talking with and listening to your teen about sex and drugs.
College bound – What do you need to know as you go out there on your own?
This workshop features myth breakers, and many reality checks geared for this excited and adventurous group. It will cover:
  • Awareness of personal crimes on campus
  • 4 basic safety rules for living on your own
  • Recognizing when boundaries have been crossed and how to respond
  • Issues of Date Rape

Internet Safety
This seminar covers introducing computer use safety rules for the home, how to talk with your children about personal information do's and don't's and why. The use of a safety contract for responsible online behavior including introductory discussion of cyberbullying, and social network sites.
Parenting Your Teen in the 21st Century
This multi session seminar speaks with parents about active listening, communication, and methods of raising cooperative, responsible teens. Using proactive discipline methods tough topics will be discussed including talking with your teens about alcohol and other drugs.
CyberBullying
The many forms of cyberbullying will be discussed as well as the signs to look for regarding both the bullying perpetrator as well as their targets. Methods of prevention and response to online harassment will be covered.
